Blossom Culp lives in Bluff City. Her mother has a second sight, which means she can see what no one else sees, or experienced; ghost, Spirits. Blossom Culp first pretend to have the second sight, to scare off her new friends, but in the end she realized that it was not a joke at all. She started seeing the future and the past that she had never seen before. Now her and her friend Alexander face their fears.
I think that an argument that is being made in this story, is that friendship is judge by the way you dress or act. Like in this story if you want to be popular you need to always dress different in a very fashionable way, or if you live in mansion. In this case Blossom was not this way. But when she discovered her new power, her life changed. Now most of the guys pay attention to her. But for me, friendship is judge in a different way, I judge it if that person is always his/her self (always).
This story really connects to the real world (the world that we live in) to the arguement that is being made in the story. Like there are some people who are secretly (rich people) are hanging out with lower classes people, because if their friends find out, they will be humuliated. This I consider a problem, because friendship can be found anywhere .
Suppose that Blossom didn't have this power of hers. Then the story will be different, and I can assume that it would have been about her silly pranks. Though without this power she wouldn't have discover things nobody else knew about, and would have been reported around Europe.
